It's easy to say "high definition", but do we really know what it is? Acronyms and towering numbers on standalone players, televisions, computers and any other type of video device, but how to understand what is the best?. Easy to see that video in HD has a better level of detail than the standard. For years we have been accustomed to watching television and DVDs with resolutions of 720 x 576 pixels in PAL format. The high-definition video, however, may have a resolution of 720 horizontal lines of 1080 or the highest quality. X so mean to us, are well 2,073,600 (1,920 x 1,080) pixels that make up an image in full HD, while those displayed by a normal TV is just 414,720. When you are in front of a high-definition video details are much more defined and you can project movies on giant screens without the image appears grainy. To enter the world of high definition, however, you need the right tools. Of course, the place to start is the TV, without which there would be can display images in HD, even if you connect a source that supports HD. To play video in full hd, then you need a blu-ray player or a PC equipped with HDMI output. Finally, if we want to make our own movies in high definition, we can use a digital camcorder last generation. The latest digital camcorders can record in HD. Some movies are limited to up to 720p, others also support full HD 1080p resolution. Being able to choose the most suitable for our purposes is not easy because there are many characteristics that differentiate them. Besides price and features, what distinguishes maggiormentele is the type of recording medium used and format for video. Basically we can divide them into four categories: minidv, dvd 8 cm, with hard drives and flash memory. The first use normal dv tapes and digital cameras have the advantage of being cheap. However, they have a limited recording capacity and the acquisition of video on the PC is not very simple. The cameras that record to optical media such as mini blue ray have a bit of the same disadvantages minidv and expensive. On the other hand, have the advantage of playing the video simply by inserting the disc from the camcorder extract in our player from the living room. The hard disk models, however, are very versatile and can record several hours of video without the need for media external and the acquisition of video on a PC is made using a standard USB cable. They are, however, a little delicate because accidental impact could damage the internal disk. The camcorder with flash memory are among the best because light and very compact. They have no moving parts and are therefore also more reliable and consume less energy. But having a storage capacity less than those with hard drives, we often use a compressed recording format that offers less quality. Let's talk about television, models for sale have almost always the logo HD Ready or Full HD. The first is a real certification: a TV to be HD READY must have a panel that supports at least 720p resolution, must be equipped with component video input and the digital HDMI supports the HDCP protection system that included that encrypts digital content in high definition. The term FULL HD, however, indicates an HDTV READY, which has a screen capable of displaying images in 1080i or 1080p (progressive or interlaced mode). The other question that might arise when you are buying a TV, the choice between a model and an LCD PLASMA. Absolutely no technology better than another, but much depends on the use which it will do. The LCD models have pixels smaller and more defined, are generally brighter, consume less and cost. The plasma, however, have larger pixels and it is hard to find models under 37. They have, however, a high contrast ratio, viewing angle and are more able to reproduce colors more brilliant. Note, however, that there is nothing better than our eye x assess the quality of a TV!
